The interesting history of toupees



It would be interesting that know that although the written documented history of wigs dates back to just a few centuries ago it was during the prime time of ancient Egyptian civilization that wigs were first introduced. 

The usage of toupees 
While the most common reason of wearing wigs or toupees is to enjoy the hair beauty even if you don’t have the real hair there are other reasons as well. For example many people are not happy with their hairstyle due to the lack of volume while the others simply lack the glossy shining natural hair. Fortunately, the wigs help them overcome their handicap by allowing them to enjoy the exact style that they desire.

The verifiable historical account of the Egyptian dynasty clearly shows than the wigs or toupees  were not only used during the Egyptian civilization but were also considered as one of the key accessories having multifaceted importance right from the fashion in the culture and religion. 

Toupees may be invented by Egyptians
According to one concept there are strong possibilities that the wigs were invented by Egyptians in order to protect their bald or almost bald head from sunrays. However there were certain classes of ancient Egyptian people who used to wear the toupees even if they had their own real hair just to demonstrate their socials status as we know that the aristocracy and royal classes in the ancient civilizations used to wear certain specific accessories to exhibit their exclusivity. Such Egyptian used the wax in order to fix the toupees and prevent it from dislodging
